HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Prices start at $225 per day, taxes included (optional insurance not included).

WHAT DOES THE OPTIONAL INSURANCE COVER?
For $25, the optional insurance covers damage to our equipment. Without insurance the rider is liable for up to $1000 damage on all equipment that we provide. The deductible is reduced to $200 on select "high-end" equipment and $100 for all other equipment.

HOW DO I RESERVE MY SPOT?

Call or e-mail us with the following information: Your preferred day(s) to ride, which tour you require (Dirtbike, ATV, Dual Sport or Trials) and the number of people in your party. Please have a Visa or MasterCard on hand to provide a deposit of 50% of the total cost. For more information visit our Book Your Ride page.

IS THE DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE?

Cancellations 14 days before your start date are subject to a $80 non-refundable fee per rider.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TOURS ON DIRTBIKES, ATVS, DUAL SPORT BIKES AND TRIALS?
Dirtbikes and ATVs are limited to just riding trails in the forest. ATVs generally ride on wider trails, although Dirtbikes use wide trails as well. Dual Sport riders have the ability to access public roads and can travel longer distances. Trials bike riding is very specialized since the motorcycle is designed for slow speeds and very technical riding.

WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY AT TRAIL TOURS LIKE?

At 9:00 a.m. when you arrive, you will be asked to sign waivers and attend a riders’ meeting. After getting dressed in proper motorcycle gear, all riders will be divided into groups based on ability and experience. If you don't know how to ride, we will give you a riding lesson in the morning and then take you on a tour in the afternoon. If you already know how to ride, you will spend all day on the trails. Advanced instruction is also available upon request. Breaks are scheduled throughout the day as well as a large group lunch. All riding ends at 3:00 p.m. At this time you are asked to return all equipment and lucky for you, we do the laundry.

WHAT DOES THE LUNCH CONSIST OF?
Lunch is a variety of fresh fruit, vegetables, and submarine sandwiches. Your sub is custom made just the way you like it. There are delicious home made cookies and deserts also available. Eat all you like and enjoy some time bench racing (telling tales about how good a rider you are) with your friends. We are vegetarian friendly. Food allergies should be noted when booking a date.

WHAT ARE THE TRAILS LIKE?
With a special permit, we ride 11000 acres of beautiful conservation area that is the Ganaraska forest. Depending on your ability, you may encounter a variety of terrain. Everything from sand, gravel, rocks, loam, hills, valleys, fields, forests and more. The trails range in size from being 12 feet wide to 1 foot wide “single-track” (only enough room for a “single” vehicle). Dual Sport rides have even more variation because they also traverse roads.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
We are located one hour east of Toronto, just 20 minutes south of Peterborough. Once we receive your reservation deposit, we will provide detailed directions to our facilities.

WHEN ARE YOU OPEN?
We are open for business between May 1 and October 31. Check our Calendar for available dates.

DO I NEED A MOTORCYCLE LICENSE?
No, unless you are going to take part in a Dual Sport tour.

HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO RIDE AT TRAIL TOURS?

We ask that participants be at least 10 years old.

WHAT MODELS OF BIKE AND ATVS DO YOU HAVE?
Every year our manufacturers provide us with NEW motorcycles and ATVs so our fleet is always changing. If you'd like to see what we currently offer visit our machines page.

WHICH BIKE/ATV SHOULD I RIDE?
We will help select the appropriate bike/ATV for you according to your experience, your goals and the terrain you will be riding on.

CAN WE CHOOSE WHICH BIKE/ATV WE RIDE?

Yes, if we feel your skills and ability match the machine.

CAN I BRING MY OWN BIKE/ATV?
Yes, but it must be insured, plated, in good working order and quiet (under 94 decibels).

WHAT IF IT RAINS?
We run rain or shine. Some of our customers’ most memorable rides happened in the rain.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
We suggest that you bring along heavy socks, snug undergarments like bicycle shorts, a change of clothes and a camera.

WHAT ARE THE GUIDES AND INSTRUCTORS QUALIFICATIONS?

Our Staff come from a variety of backgrounds but share a common passion for off road riding. Some teach street riding at Community Colleges and many others compete in off-road events such as motocross, hare scrambles and enduros. As anyone venturing out in the woods should be, they are also trained in First aid.

DO YOU PROVIDE ANY SPECIALIZED TRAINING?
Yes, upon request we are certified to teach the ATV Canadian Safety Council course.

DO YOU HOST CORPORATE EVENTS?
Yes, some of our past corporate customers include Tim Horton’s, Ford Motor Company, Labatts, Dole, Bridgestone Racing Academy and many others.
